Turn on automatic builds
Updated October 14, 2026
When your app builds from GitHub, every push can start a new Android build on its own.
- Connect your repository with Connect GitHub, not only a public link. See Ways to connect your project.
- In your app's Settings → Project, turn on Automatic builds.
Every push to the app's branch (usually main) then starts an Android build of exactly that commit. Each automatic build counts as a build.
If a build of the app is still running when you push, that push doesn't start a second build. Push again, or start a build by hand once it finishes.
